Absence Policy

Policy Overview

Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons. If a student misses a lesson for any reason — including illness, scheduling conflicts, vacations, or personal matters — the lesson is forfeited. No makeups, credits, refunds, or substitutions will be provided.

Key Points

• No makeups. Missed lessons cannot be rescheduled to a different date or time.
• No credits. Missed lessons will not be converted to account credits or applied to future billing.
• No refunds. Tuition covers your reserved time slot. Refunds are not issued for missed lessons, regardless of the reason.
• No exceptions. This policy applies to all students across all programs — private lessons, group classes, Regional Center courses, and After School Music Workshop activities.

Why This Policy Exists

When you enroll at Cuts DJ Academy, your lesson time is reserved exclusively for you. Instructors prepare for your session, and that time cannot be reassigned to another student. This policy ensures fairness for all students and allows our instructors to maintain consistent, high-quality instruction.

Reporting an Absence

While absences will not be made up, we ask that students still report any upcoming absence as a courtesy. To report an absence, log in to your Student Portal and click the "Future Absence" button to complete the absence form.

Video Courses

We encourage all students to take advantage of our video course library. While video lessons are not a substitute or makeup for missed in-person sessions, they provide an excellent opportunity to review material and stay on track with your progress.

Weather Closures

All in-person activities are canceled if Cuts DJ Academy is closed due to inclement weather. Lessons canceled by the academy due to weather closures will be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable time.

Acknowledgment

By enrolling in any program at Cuts DJ Academy, students (and parents/guardians of minor students) acknowledge and accept this No Absence / No Makeup policy in full. This policy is non-negotiable and applies from the date of enrollment.
